THE RULES OF THE ANNUAL

TESLA MEMORIAL V/U/SHF CONTEST

 1. The contest is dedicated to the memory of Nikola Tesla (1856-1943), a famous serbian scientist, 

who achieved polyphase electricity and radio.

 3. Time: First full weekend in July,

    starting Saturday at 1400 GMT,

    ending Sunday at 1400 GMT.

 4. Participation: All licenced stations.

5. Categories:

There is no category classification based on contest location ornumber of operators. Contest location and call sign change during the contest is not permitted. A station can appear in one of the B, C, D, or G category only. The T category is  intended for YU team stations only.The stations outside of Serbia and Montenegro participate any  of the categories A to G, but qualify in the Category I only.

 6. Bands: 

VHF

50 MHz, 144MHz

UHF

432 MHz, 1.3 GHz , 2.4 GHz

SHF, EHF

5.6 GHz, 10 GHz, and up

Each station has to follow the bandplan, legal rules in his country, and his licence.

Permitted emissions: CW, SSB, and FM are allowed  modes in the categories

 A, B, C, D, E, F. FM is the only mode in G.

 7. Exchange: Call sign, RS/T, Serial number starting with 001 on each band, WW QTH locator and

 QSO  confirmation.

8.    Scoring:
There must be at least three station logs received in a category; otherwise no points will be counted in this category.

Score in A - G categories is to be computed by addition of QRB points and QTH points. QRB points

              can be claimed according to the following table:

QTH points: For each different QTH square (KN05, JN95...)  wkd for the first time on each band, 

the station claims 2000 points. 

This must be clearly indicated in the station log.

In the H, T, and I categories, total score is computed by addition of scores claimed in the 

categories A - G, according. to the following table:

 9.    Logs: Logs submitted must be kept for each band separately   and must contain: Date,

 Time (GMT), Call sign of station wkd, sent and received RST, sent and received serial numbers,

 WW QTH locator of  the station worked, QRB points, QTH points and mode.

      Summary Sheet must be submitted separately for each entered 

category and must contain: 

contest name;

 contest date; 

category entered; 

participant name and address, 

 WW QTH locator and the name of location standing,

Call signs of other operators (if any),

 Number of QSOs, QRB points, QTH points, total scor,

 Best DX (Call, QTH, and QRB)

Short description of equipment, antennas, location,

Statement of regular contest operation

The log must be done and sent within 15 days after the end of the contest (postmark valid)

 and must reach the Organizer up to July 31. The log in ADIF format is compulsory if containing 

more than 50 QSOs, to the mail address srv@eunet.yu.

Reception of the logs sent by e-mail will be confirmed

 10. The Organizer is obligued to check all received logs and announce informal results

      up to September 1, what will be done by 

   the SRV Contest Manager and published in the SRS and SRV bulletin. A reclamation is permitted within 8 days after this announcement, to the SRV VHF/UHF Committee, which decision then is final. The final results will be announced in ham-magazines, sent to national associations and to all competitors who had sent their logs by e-mail, as well as on the SRV web site and BBS.

 11. Each first place in a category will be prized a trophy. Each first to sixth place will bi issued a diplom.The best placed station from Serbia and Montenegro will be given the SRV temporary cup. The one who won the cup three times successively or five times in total, wins this cup permanently. In the category containing less than three logs received, a diplom for participation will be issued.The prizes will be handed on the SRV Annual Conference.

 12. All incorrect QSOs, unmarked doubled QSOs, unconfirmed QSOs in the correspondent logs, QSOs with time logged differing for more than 10 minutes, uncompleted QSOs but calculated for scoring, and QSOs which can not count for the Contest; will be deleted. A station will be disqualified if falsifying QSOs, giving wrong QTH locator, working out of amateur bands, jamming, and making other serious and broad outrage.

 13. QSOs via retranslators, repetitors, EME, as well as special mode QSOs  / WSJT, PSK, HSCW etc./ are not allowed.

 14. The right to interprete these rules is reserved by the SRV VHF/UHF Committee.
